I love reading about your journey. It is so similar to my own, although you are a few years ahead! I too find it incredibly valuable to journal and write about my values and vision for a dream life. I have found that it has helped shape lots of tiny little decisions and has also helped build a solid gut intuition which has guided on some of the bigger lifechanging decisions!

Thanks Steph. Every year that passes I grow more enamoured with this way of living. Being able to tune into your gut intuition is vital. It's so wonderful to be in connection with a kindred spirit 🫶

I'm admitting that I haven't even read your post yet, but scrolled quickly and saw the picture of your guiding compass. I know I'll be reading all of your posts immediately. My guiding words the last few years have been "books, nature, creativity". ❤️ When I saw you included music, my first thought was "obviously! Why didn't I include that?" I do include music in my everyday life, I even journal about what I've listened to weekly.

Aw hello soul sister 💫

I admit music is probably the one area I want to cultivate more intention around personally. My husband is the musical powerhouse in our family. His love, passion and talent for it permeates us all.

I created that little compass as a representation of not just mine but each member of our family's great loves. It's what we come back to to guide our days. It is rare that we don't dabble in all of them everyday.

We overlap in our appreciation for all four but Music is my husband, Books is me, Nature is my son and Art is my daughter 🧭

Such a wonderful inspiring and life-affirming post 🙏✨ I think I could write down exactly the same dream! Incidentally, my uncle who emigrated to Australia in the 1970s, lived in Rosebud on the Mornington Peninsula until fairly recently. Small world!

I can so relate to this. The dreams written in my notepads and on my heart that have unfolded so beautifully in the most amazing ways. Life is such a special adventure!

I also read that very same book probably 5 or 6 years ago!

It's really inspiring to read how you are living a slower life and it's something that you've intentionally created step by step after writing down your dream 5 years ago. There's so much power in writing down where we want to be, it's like we are putting it out into the world and breathing life into it.

What a lovely read, thank you. My husband and I have done something similar. I hope for a future where my children understand how to and value growing and eating real food, that they grow up loving to learn and expand their minds and that in 20, 30 and 40 years time they continue to return to my kitchen to chop veggies, laugh, drink tea and eat. 🌿
